I'm a generally enthusiastic person and was once told that I'm "one black outline away from being a Looney Tune." My three favorite things in the world are Harry Potter, Christmas, and pajamas. I love reading, dancing to '80s music, bourbon and Dr. Pepper, tiny dogs, and wearing dresses.
I moved to Austin in October 2014 and currently share an apartment my two best friends, KaCee and Melany; KaCee's boyfriend, Kyle; and their dachshund, Gretel. It's sitcom-levels of fun. I graduated with a degree in English Literature from Texas Tech University in May 2014 and am trying my damnedest to actually use it. The goal is to become a librarian, but in the meantime I spend my days working at a credit union and one night a week working author events at BookPeople. I also host a book club at BookPeople on the third Wednesday of every month and would love for you to join!
Austin has been good to me, so to return the favor I do my best to support and promote the local businesses I love. Whenever possible, I link back to my favorite Austin spots and hope you will choose to shop local if you're able!
Marvelous Meandering is where I write about my life and loves. I like to post pictures and tell stories of the places I've been and the things I've done. Sometimes I'll share the music I'm listening to, and if you're looking for something to read, I've got you covered.
To meander is to wander aimlessly, which, as a human person on this planet, is a concept I'm familiar with. We're really all just bumbling through life. Nobody actually knows what they're doing–which can be terrifying or comforting depending on how you choose to look at it. I'm choosing the latter.
